The Releb'aal Saq'e' Council is a private, non-profit association made up of Q'eqchi' aj qij (spiritual guides), ajilonel (herbal doctors) and aj xokol k'ula'al (midwives), whose heart is in Poptún, Petén.

VISION

To be a recognized association for the defense and promotion of the rights and cultures of indigenous peoples from the Mayan worldview, contributing to the organization of a just and equitable society.

MISSION

To rescue, revalue, and strengthen the ancestral practices and knowledge of Mayan culture through the civic participation of men, women, and youth, seeking agreements that foster dignified and equal coexistence based on human rights, such as respect for and recognition of the Mayan worldview through participatory dialogue.
